Asymmetry/fan flower

The blue asymmetry, fan flower or scaevola, is native to Southern Australia. Its my entry in Cee’s flower of the day and can also be found in purple and white (although I found the white hard to capture.

As the name suggests, the five petals are only on one side of the flower, making it asymmetrical. They can achieve some symmetry when there are four flowers around the central piece. A hardy ground-cover, it does well in arid conditions.
