For Dan’s challenge, although I can’t guarantee it was a Thursday, the doors of Oatlands, Tasmania. The architectural style is Georgian.

The town is said to have the most sandstone buildings in Australia – over 150 of them, mostly built with convict labour in the early 1800s.

The tiny town is a great place to stop and lots of history. We spent a good hour or more at the Callington Mill and surrounds, the mill being in operation still, after construction in 1836.

Plenty of restored or preserved features in town and thereโs accommodation and restaurants for travelers.

Such wonderful images with these buildings. Anita

Yes, itโs a bit like stepping back in time. Tasmania is full of that feeling and is one of the oldest in terms of European settlement in Australia.
