For Brian, at bushboy’s Last on the card challenge, these photos I took of a very old orchid variety, orange crucifix.

They’re leggy and drop roots as they shoot upwards. We were advised to plant it in the garden, as it was doing nothing. This would be the worst soil in the yard and after it flowered in the opening shot, I had to dig it up and move it, where it flowered even more. I dunno.
Lovely color.

Not as orange as I expected, more red, but that’s flowers I think.

I don’t have that colour. I have a purple one and an orange one. I have some that I discarded and looked gone and have sprung to life. I dunno either. Thanks for joining in Karen 🙂 🙂

Maybe they’re more at home in your subtropical climate.
