When my husband told me we were expecting a lunar eclipse, it seemed like a perfect reason to walk after dinner and contribute to Becky’s squares this month.
A big test for any phone camera, my new one got little action until we returned.

The atmospheric conditions gave us a huge starter, with just that bottom section eclipsed.

By the time it rose high enough for me to see it again, nearly half was in shadow.

Peering through foliage, as it rose ever higher, only a cap remained.
And then, the header photo with no sunlight on it at all.

Lucky you. I missed this one though I’m not sure conditions were any good here anyway.

Yes, so much depends upon the cloud cover etc. We were lucky.
