As Canberra is a territory, nestled in the State of New South Wales, many attractions while in the ACT are in NSW, and Tulip Top Garden is one such.

In the town of Sutton, it’s an easy 30 min drive from the Capital.

After paying the entrance fee, you enter the garden and are immediately immersed, as if transported to the pages of a fairy tale.

The family, who have owned this garden for generations, carefully plant and care for the plants and trees all year, for this month-long display which is their main source of income for the year, along with providing seedlings.
While tulips are the main attraction, there are other sources of delight.

There are several paths and a cafe where you can have free and endless tea or coffee, while you and your four-legged friend take in the view, or a short incline to look over the property, as in the second photo. Lovely views are to be had in all directions

It was such a magical experience, I can’t recommend it highly enough.
Wow, such fabulous colorful displays. I can see why you’d recommend it.

What a beautiful garden – I don’t envy them planting so many tulip bulbs! And the blossom trees are an added bonus. At first I thought this was the famous Canberra floriade.

I have to say it’s better. The tulips are twice the size and the flowering trees provide a wall of colour along many paths.
