Possibly not what you expected, but these cascading orchids come after the usual cymbidiums and natives, when you’re sweeping up dead blooms.

Suddenly the spikes appear, lengthen quickly, droop over the rim and, before you know it, they’re open.

They’re my ‘whatsoever is lovely’ entry this week.
