silhouettes and cut-outs

For Becky’s challenge, I thought I’d include some silhouettes, but as a couple don’t follow the ‘black cut-out’ rule, and are contrasts against their background, I’ve included them. There may be a name for that ‘look’ or effect.

Sunrise through the Sheoaks at Corny Point

Bushfire ravaged trees are skeletal, 10 years after Black Saturday, but some seeds have regenerated in the fire, as gums do, to create undergrowth.

Sunrise through the Sheoaks seems almost mystical … the soft backlight and the sharp light on the pine needles … beautiful!
