June colour – Yellow

Cee’s midweek madness challenge is for the yellow of June, so I’m entering some early winter yellows from the Southern hemisphere.

A struggling grapevine
Emerging calendula
Fading umbrella tree
Ripening limes
Subtle Sunrises
Forgotten figs
Ailing apricots

It all looks very Autumnal, still, and pretty despite the cold, but the worst is yet to come.

    1. Well, with winds off the Southern Ocean, the other morning it was 3C but ‘feels like -3C’. Our lettuces were frozen, but recovered well later in the day. August is the coldest month in recent years (hence we head north).
