Now, usually a high top loaf is white – unless it is a German grain loaf made in a breadmaker.

In fact, all loaves made in the breadmaker are high tops!
There’s nothing quite like fresh bread, warm from the oven or maker – unless it’s a new square top in Becky’s April challenge.

When it’s warm, it has to be just butter (or Nuttelex these days), but after that, I’m a savoury girl – peanut paste or marmite, maybe just tomato and pepper.
