I think lotuses are above the water, such as these, and waterlilies sit on the water, but I’m no expert.
They’re a great pleasure to see, regardless of the name.

Haha. Apparently the lotus and water lily both have fragrance, but I can’t say that I’ve detected it in the great outdoors. I’m going to fall into some ponds testing this out, I reckon.
