This unusual plant I mistook for a hydrangea in my addition to Cee’s FOTD. The colour and paper-thin texture made me uncertain, but the leaves were a match. Both Cee and Bob (lwbut) let me know it was a hellebore. Thanks!

Hydrangeas almost always only have 4 petals in a cross shape – this has 5 petals. And the spots are the giveaway.
